The Municipality of Deryneia in collaboration with the "Renaissance" of Deryneia presented the 3rd Lecture of the 4th cycle of Lectures "University for All" entitled "Deryneia = Volleyball, Volleyball = Deryneia".
The long history of the sport of Volleyball in Deryneia, was presented by Mr. George Stefanidis, Technical Consultant KOPE. Special honor was given to the volleyball players and agents who gave the 2 Cyprus Cups in Deryneia in 1976 and 1977, under the coach of the late Vassos Michael.
In Deryneia, since the founding of the "Renaissance" Association until today, sports are cultivated, especially volleyball and football.
There are academies in which many children from Deryneia and the surrounding area participate, where in addition to sports, discipline and ethos are cultivated.
