The pain of the relatives of the victims of the tragedy in Marie was not enough, now the insults through anonymous postal letters have begun. A complaint has already been made to the Police regarding the matter, which is investigating the matter.

Recently, the provincial head of the Larnaca Fire Department, Michalis Theofilou, father of firefighter Panagiotis Theofilou, who was killed along with 12 others in the deadly explosion in Mari, received an anonymous letter accusing him of various things.

Mr. Theofilou himself stated that the letter is offensive to his person, since strangers insult him for various non-existent things. As he said, they accuse him unabashedly for things that are not justified, such as that he has received promotions and money and publicity. "For 8 years, he stressed, I expect a promotion that I have never seen. "How can I get money or seek publicity?" He added.

Mr. Theofilou, obviously annoyed by the content of the letter, made a complaint to the Police and even gave specific directions, from which the insults may come. He linked the incident to the development of the criminal case for the tragedy in Marie and the conviction of the accused. He even mentioned persons who could have taken such an action, however this is being investigated by the Police.
