Two women were arrested in Famagusta for burglary and theft. According to the Police, a 42-year-old woman from Paralimni showed up yesterday afternoon at a goldsmith's shop in Paralimni and offered to sell a quantity of jewelry. The owner of the goldsmith suspected that something was wrong and the Police were notified, whose men found in the possession of the 42-year-old jewelry worth a total of € 7,050 for which he did not give satisfactory explanations. Among the jewelry is an engagement ring with a specific inscription.

The woman was arrested together with her 19-year-old friend from Xylotymvou, who accompanied her for the self-inflicted crime of illegal possession of property.

A search of her car followed, which found a large number of empty jewelry boxes, perfumes and various receipts for the sale of jewelry from previous days.

The investigations revealed that the engagement ring belongs to a 32-year-old woman from Paralimni who, after being invited to the TAE, recognized the jewelry as her own. They were stolen without realizing it. He had hosted the 42-year-old because - as he said - he had nowhere to stay.

In Larnaca, police arrested three young men, aged 17 and 21, from a mobile canteen located in the industrial area of ​​Aradippou. The examinations revealed that these were young people who engaged in the theft of batteries, copper pipes, iron, etc., which they then sold.
