Chinese investors with experience in the hotel industry have invested 50 million euros in the construction of the luxury five-star hotel which will occupy more than 40.000 square meters of land.

The group of investors is expected to submit the documents for the Planning Permit and the Building Permit within the next few days.

Investors are hoping for a quick licensing process, given the large growth investment that will create several jobs.

According to a recent article in the newspaper Phileleftheros, this is the first hotel acquired by Sotira, which will include 250 beds and will be ready to accommodate the first guests in 2 years.

The hotel, which according to exclusive information of SotiraNews, will be named "Ammos Resort", will have a "U" shape with all beds facing the sea, and according to the model is a unique design in the hotel data facilities of our country.

There is also great interest in a second five-star luxury hotel on the Sotiras border, near the Liopetri River, also by Chinese investors, but the process is still in the planning stage.

It is worth noting that in recent years the Municipality of Sotira has renovated its beach restaurant and rebuilt the entire beach front Sotira, which has contributed to a sharp increase in wedding tourism.

Despite the fact that the income from the beach of Agia Thekla in 2011 was € 24.000, in 2015 it amounted to almost € 200.000.
