As Espresso writes today, the organizing committee selected the bouzouki metro, Giannis Polykandriotis and his orchestra to play at music events before and during the Games.
In fact, the folk orchestra will play in the big celebration for the 60th anniversary of the rise of Elizabeth to the throne.
G. Polykandriotis has selected representative pieces of Greek folk music, such as the beloved "Misirlou" and masterpieces by M. Hatzidakis and M. Theodorakis.
