CEB1 46 Theater
A series of three-hour self-contained workshops with the aim of spreading experiences and knowledge, to theater professionals, educators or even simple enthusiasts who wish to enrich their knowledge. The workshops are offered to targeted groups, for a very small fee, every Wednesday, 4.00-7.00pm. in the THOK Building (Old GSP area).

The workshops started in September and continue as follows:

October 21: Lighting Solutions
With the Enlightened George Koukoumas. For members of amateur groups.

Reference to the basic principles of lighting with practical examples and solutions to problems that arise with the lighting of performances in a few media. Providing basic knowledge about lighting and related professions so that the member of the Amateur Team can speak the language of the luminaire and take advantage of this medium.

November 4: Carry your self and be confident! - Youth, sexuality and relationships. With Applied Theater Animator Natalia Kouhartsyuk.

For teenagers 15-18 years old.

The workshop aims to develop a creative dialogue around the issue of interracial relationships and sexuality. The workshop aims to enhance the ways of communication and emotional contact within a relationship, self-awareness, social self and the cultivation of self-esteem.

Participants to wear comfortable clothes.

November 11: Methodology of approaching the student performance. 
Instructors: Andri Kyriazi, Andreas Paraskevas (teachers).

It is of interest to teachers and those who are interested in the importance of theater in education.

On the occasion of last year's award-winning student performance of their school "Wealth" by Aristophanes, the two teachers transfer their experience to the setting of a student performance: from the selection of the project, the audition / workshop process, the course of the rehearsals, the the guidance of the students but also the encouragement of their creativity up to the third bell!

Practical approach - requires comfortable clothing.

November 18: Playwriting genres. 
With the Director Leandros Taliotis.

Open to all interested parties.

Presentation regarding the types of theatrical writing and their characteristics. It concerns people who are interested in writing and theater. More details will be announced later.

November 25: Theatrical performance in kindergarten? 
With the Theatrologist, Assistant Professor Dr. Andri Ch. Konstantinou.

It is of interest to kindergarten teachers.

In the first part of the meeting, questions will be discussed regarding the purpose and objectives of creating a theatrical performance in kindergarten and the character of the performance. Methods by which this process can be made enjoyable, creative and beneficial for children will be considered. In the second part, which will have the character of a workshop, the Cypriot fairy tale Spanos and the Forty Dragons will be studied as an example, with tests in terms of narration, adaptation, relevant theatrical activities and the preparation of the play.

Participants should know the fairy tale and wear comfortable clothes.

December 2: Costume Workshop for teachers. 
With the Set Designer / Costume Designer Stavros Antonopoulos.

Approaching the "outfit" of the show and the actor, practically, effectively and aesthetically. The experience of a set designer / costume designer in the professional theater, combined with his experience as a teacher in secondary schools and the uploading of award-winning performances, is made available to the people involved in the performance of student performances.
