On Sunday, after 41 years, the churches of the Archangel Michael in the occupied villages of Gialousa and Hartzia were reopened.
The two temples celebrated until September 1974, 6, a day on which the Orthodox Church commemorates the "en Chonais" miracle of the Archangel Michael.
In Gialousa, the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was presided over by Bishop Karpasia Christoforos.
Until a year ago the temple was used as a mosque.
Divine services were held in the morning at the half-ruined church of the Archangel Michael in Hartzia.
