A tourist from the Netherlands, aged 20, passed away on Friday at the hotel where he was staying for a vacation in Cyprus with a compatriot friend.
According to the Police, around eight o'clock on Friday night, information was received at the Ayia Napa Police Station that a 20-year-old tourist from the Netherlands was with a 19-year-old friend in a hotel in Ayia Napa, when the 20-year-old suddenly felt unwell. he fainted and fell to the ground.
A doctor was called from a private clinic in Ayia Napa who repeatedly tried to restore the young man's consciousness. However, the young man did not return and the doctor around 19.40 confirmed his death.
Men from the Ayia Napa Police Station were called to the scene and after examining the pile, they found that he had no external injuries while the possibility of criminal action was ruled out.
However, the exact causes of death of the young man will be ascertained from the legal autopsy that will be performed on his body at the Larnaca General Hospital tomorrow, Monday, January 9th.
The Agia Napa Police Station is investigating the case.
