Today, Nikos Dimitriou, defense attorney of Panagiotis Pentavkas, stated before the House that during yesterday's trial, the prosecution witness Charalambos Andreou mentioned the name of "lawyer Christoforos Dimitriou" and asked for the report to be prepared. unethical, disciplinary or even criminal offenses may arise for the purpose of investigating the investigating authorities.

He also stated that Christoforos Dimitriou is at the disposal of the investigating authorities, while he gives his consent, so that all his telecommunication data can be checked at the essential time. Mr. Dimitriou continued with a request, in case such a thing happens to be terminated while the present trial is pending before the Criminal Court.

The representative of the Prosecution Authority, Elli Papagapiou, stated that she would ask the Court to prepare the relevant minutes so that the case would be duly examined by the Attorney General of the Republic after the end of the trial.

After this development, Andreas Loukas, a police officer at the TAE Headquarters, testified as a prosecution witness, who stated that for the purpose of investigating the case, he had arrested the second accused Panagiotis Pentavkas on 1/7/16, while with other investigators they conducted an investigation in his office accused in the club Toga - Toga (owned by Pentaukas) and in his house from where various items were received.

Answering questions from Ms. Papagapiou, the witness pointed to Panagiotis Pentavkas in the defendant's chair and stated that the two cars he was using were searched in the vicinity of the club and his house, but were not found. He also stated that when the investigators asked the accused where the cars were, he did not answer anything, noting that on 9/7/16 one of the two cars was located and confiscated.

It is noted that the specific car (Suzuki swift) is the one that according to the prosecution witness Charalambos Andreou, the accused Panagiotis Pentavkas had taken himself and Marios Christodoulou alias Beni to show them the escape route after the murder in Ayia Napa, route in which there were no cameras at all.

Answering questions from the defense attorney of Panagiotis Pentavkas, the witness admitted that in the club of the accused there were several surveillance cameras in a prominent place and that he had not been informed that there were cameras in the parking lot of the club.

"We did not tell the 2nd defendant to take the surveillance cameras because the Police believed that he was not among the executors and the issue of receiving the closed circuit was not raised to check where he was on 23/6/16", he said and admitted that "our defendant he said to take the cameras, but we did not consider it necessary ".

Mr. Dimitriou stated that "it is not accidental that the Police did not take the cameras. If the Police took them, they would see where the accused was from 1 - 30/6/16 and we may not be here today. "We will be either in our homes or in prison," he said, with the witness reiterating that "we thought the accused was not among the perpetrators, not that he was not involved in the murder."

"I challenge the investigators to take the cameras and bring experts from abroad to locate the movements of the second accused", said the defense lawyer of Panagiotis Pentavkas.

Elsewhere in the interrogation, Mr. Dimitriou stated to the witness that the investigators "did not pay any attention to the accused's two cars", with Mr. Loukas replying that "we paid attention to the finding of the two vehicles". In the lawyer's submission that both cars were parked outside the Toga - Toga club but the investigators did not see them, the witness said that an investigation was carried out for both vehicles but they were not located by the police.

To other questions of the lawyer, Mr. Loukas answered that "in my report I did not write that we asked the defendant where the specific car was (Suzuki swift) and that he did not answer us".

"You came here and put it out of your pocket to involve the second accused. The specific car was in front of your eyes ", said Nikos Dimitriou, with the witness repeating that when an investigation was carried out, the two vehicles were not located.

Asked whether the Police would investigate information that said that Charalambos Andreou, Marios Christodoulou otherwise Beni and Panagiotis Pentavkas were in a car (Suzuki swift), the witness said that he could not answer hypothetical questions.

This was followed by the testimony of police officer Marios Apostolos, who serves at the Larnaca Police Department, who, among other things, took a statement from the accused Panagiotis Pentavkas and spoke with various persons, such as his father, an employee and a foreigner worked at the Toga - Toga club and a businessman. According to the witness, none of those who spoke agreed to submit a written statement and that everyone mentioned certain things to him orally.

According to the witness, a person who, as the accused stated, was with him on the night of the murder, told the Police that from 20.00 - 22.45 he was with his friends in a nightclub in Oroklini, posting a relevant photo on a social networking platform. This person also stated that he went to Toga - Toga at eleven o'clock in the evening of June 23, 2016 where he remained with the accused until 05.30 in the morning of the next day.

Mr. Apostolou added that a girl from Romania (employee in Toga - Toga) who went on 4/7/16 to visit Dejan Loy in the detention facilities of AS. Ayia Napa, orally stated that she had registered the detainee as "Dejan2" on her mobile phone. When asked if the accused had a second number, the girl answered that once Dejan called her from another cell phone whose number he did not remember.

She also said that Dejan, who worked as the security guard of Theofanis Theofanous Kalopsidiotis, advised her never to use this number because he used it exclusively to talk to his boss.

Regarding what was said orally by the father of Panagiotis Pentavkas, the witness said that the reason he did not want to give a written statement was because since the arrest of his son the whole family had been targeted by the media and that what was written was not true.

Among other things, Pentavkas' father stated that Panagotis had no rivalry with Fanos Kalopsidiotis and that in 2015 he and his son had been summoned to the Ayia Napa Police Station where they were advised to be careful because they might be the target of a criminal act.

At this point the hearing was interrupted and the three Judges of the Criminal Court, Elli Papagapiou and the defense attorneys went down to the back parking lot of the Court, where they performed an autopsy of the car (Suzuki swift) that had been transported by a platform from the guard house. Police.

The hearing will continue on May 15.
