According to the Police, a 63-year-old man from Paralimni, who maintains a water sports operation on the beach of Protaras, was reported to the Famagusta Police Department that during the night of October 6-7, various damages were caused to the equipment and boats of his company.
Members of the TAE visited the scene where they found that sand had been placed in the oil tank on the engines of four speedboats. At the same time, they found that damage had been caused to the upholstery of the seats of three speedboats, while holes in two inflatable toys were caused with a sharp object.
Police further found that two windsurfers were damaged.
The amount of damages, excluding the damages to the engines of the speedboats, which the complainant was not able to cost at this stage, amounts to approximately 7 thousand euros.
Damage to both speedboats and inflatable toys and windsurfers is not covered by insurance.
