TV series filmed in Cyprus to be shown in the UK

It promotes the tourist characteristics of Cyprus, especially Ayia Napa and Protaras

A major new TV production shot exclusively in Cyprus will be shown in the UK.
According to a press release issued by Invest Cyprus, "Love Rat", a four-episode drama series, will be broadcast by Britain's Channel 5, which is owned by Paramount Global.

It is noted that this production has been approved by the Cyprus Film Commission and promotes the tourist characteristics of Cyprus, especially Ayia Napa and Protaras. During the production, 48 Cypriot professionals were employed.

"As highlighted by the production of this television series in Cyprus, our country is developing into a center of notable international television and film productions, a development that was among our goals for attracting foreign film producers", it states.

Love Rat was commissioned for Channel 5 by Sebastian Cardwell, Deputy Chief Content Officer, UK at Paramount and produced by Clapperboard Studios UK. Executive producers are Clapperboard MDs Mike Benson and Andy Morgan, with Jonathan Phillips as producer and Polly Buckle (A Discovery of Witches) as head writer.

The series stars Sally Lindsay, Neil Morrissey, Gerald Kyd and Ramon Tikaram, the press release concludes.
