On Sunday, August 13, 2017, at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios Paralimni, the National Religious Memorial of the Hero Sergeant Markos Glykainos, who fell fighting during the Turkish invasion on August 14, 1974, will be held.
The Divine Liturgy and the Memorial will be added by the Most Venerable Metropolitan of Constantia - Famagusta Mr. Vassilios.
The Government will be represented by the Honorable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Mr. Nikos Kougialis.
The Memorial will be followed by a trishagio and the laying of wreaths at the tomb of the Hero in the Paralimni cemetery.
