About a year from now, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW is planning to unveil the new generation of the 7 Series. for the philosophy of its upcoming flagship.
Lately, various "spies" have "captured" the 7ara with heavy camouflage, undergoing evolution tests. No conclusions can be drawn from these photos, so we - once again - turned to our own man, who prepared exclusively a digitally processed image of the model.
This confirms the "streamlined" connection with the Bavarian original model, with the final aesthetic result re-combining luxury with dynamism. In addition, the new Series 7, codenamed G11, is expected to be - according to the promises of the people of BMW - a technological masterpiece. The list of equipment will apparently include laser technology luminaires, as is the case with the hybrid BMW i8.
In order to reduce the weight, carbon fiber will be widely used, not only on the floor, but also on the body (hood and roof), which will lead to a "diet" of 200 kg, compared to the current model. In addition to the turbo V8 and V12 sets, the engine range of the upcoming BMW 7 Series is expected to be enriched with 3-liter petrol and diesel engines, with 6 cylinders in series. The 9-speed automatic transmission will be standard, while the four-wheel drive xDrive versions will also be present.
It is considered possible for BMW, facing the challenges of the competition, to launch the next 7ara in a 4-cylinder version, which may have a 2-liter Efficient Dynamics diesel engine. For the same reasons, there will be a plug-in hybrid version, at the same time as rumors of M Performance or even M sports versions are increasing, so that the next top BMW 7 Series will look the Mercedes S-Class AMG and the Audi S8.
