An elderly man attacked his wife with a knife last Thursday, on New Year's Eve in a village outside Larissa, in the municipality of Killerer.
The 85-year-old chased his wife with a kitchen knife in order to kill her.
The incident took place at 3 in the morning, with her being saved at the last moment, when the couple's son heard the voices and broke into the house, stopping his father.
According to onlarissa.gr, he was detained until the police arrived, as well as EKAB at the scene. The 85-year-old was transported to the hospital after a long time in order to undergo psychiatric examinations. Information indicates that he had stopped a specific treatment he was receiving.
