The new measures that will take effect during the holidays to limit the occurrence of the Omicron mutation, will be announced today at 11:30 by the Minister of Health of Greece Thanos Plevris and the Deputy Minister despite the Prime Minister and government representative, Giannis Oikonomou.

Following the experts' suggestions, a first package of measures will be implemented immediately, while the Commission is working on a set of measures to be implemented after the holidays.

The package of measures is expected to restore the mandatory use of the mask outdoors as well as changes in supermarkets, MMM, sports events and tests for the entry of travelers into the country. In addition, it is foreseen that the festive events will be canceled.
