The possibility of relaxation of some of the measures in the next period is open, with the experts not appearing negative.

The issue was also raised on the agenda, according to information, at yesterday's meeting of the advisory scientific committee with the Minister of Health, where the discussion revolved around Children under the age of 17 who are not vaccinated in restaurants and other places with a negative rapid or pcr test are allowed to enter, while entertainment centers are considered for the resumption of dancing.

However, for now the discussion has remained on the ice and is expected to be reviewed next week.

However, the Council of Ministers in yesterday's session, decided some differences in the protocols, the extension of test to stay in hospitals, police, fire department, and recommendation for fast test to children aged 2-5 years for their attendance in kindergartens and pre-primary.

Specifically, it is recalled that the following were decided:

(a) from 28 January 2022, the replacement of the PCR laboratory test with a Rapid Antigen Detection Test (Rapidtest) at 7η day as stated in the protocol of close contact management of confirmed positive incidents and based on this they should limit themselves for 10 days.

  • Therefore, release earlier than 10 days can be done and with a rapid antigen test (Rapid test) with a negative result on the 7th day, from contact or later, at the same cost.
  • The decision to replace PCR with Rapid test on day 7 excludes health professionals working in private and public hospitals, nursing homes and closed structures.
  • Regarding the implementation of the measure "test to stay" in schools, students who are close contacts instead of PCR will be able to undergo a Rapid test for release on the 7th day. (Therefore, students who use this measure from Monday, January 24, 2022, will have to take a Rapidtest for a period of 7 days through the sampling points announced daily by the Ministry of Health and operating in schools).

(b) the implementation of the measure "testtostay" in health professionals of public and private hospitals, in Police and Fire Department.

  • The date of implementation of the measure will be announced after consultation with the competent Ministries and Services.

(c) from 28 January 2022, as recommended for children aged 2-5 years to conduct a rapid antigen detection test (Rapidtest) once a week for their attendance in kindergartens and pre-primary.

  • The Rapid test will be provided free of charge through the sampling points of the Ministry of Health.

(d) the extension of all existing measures until 17 February 2022.
