The proposal of the prosecutor in the trial for the sexual abuse of the 12-year-old girl by Colonos is still causing strong reactions. In fact, a protest meeting has been planned for today at the Court of Appeal by the "12-year-old's Solidarity Committee", which characterizes as "unacceptable" the prosecutor's proposal in terms of the part of it that requests the acquittal of Ilias Michos for three of the seven total offenses faces Namely, the rape of a minor, pimping in the form of coercion and human trafficking. In fact, the committee in question expresses its solidarity with the accused mother of the girl for whom the prosecutor pleaded guilty to all the charges she is facing, even for pimping at the expense of her own daughter and indeed under the aggravating circumstances.
The prosecutor's proposal for the Colonos case has even caused a political confrontation in the Parliament. However, the trial for this gloomy case is being held behind closed doors, that is, without the presence of journalists and the public, with the result that there are few who can speak with absolute knowledge about the evidence brought to the court, except of course the lawyers of the accused and the members of the headquarters.

However, information indicates that evidence was submitted that led the prosecutor to the specific proposal, which does not bind the seat. The members of the Joint Jury are the ones who have the final say on the guilt or not of the accused and it will be their decision which should be expected by the first ten days of April.

As far as the prosecutor's proposal is concerned, it requested the release of Ilias Michos for the crimes of rape of the minor due to doubts. It is recalled that the 12-year-old had reported that the specific defendant had raped her in the basement of the grocery store he ran in Colonos, threatening her life in case she spoke. The prosecutor does not seem to have accepted this version of the child, maintaining her doubts as to whether the minor's claim has any basis in fact. On the contrary, the act for which the prosecutor requested that the defendant be found guilty is for the crime of aggravated abuse of a minor who has not reached the age of 14. "The prosecutor's proposal will not be accepted and the main defendant will be tried for the crime of rape. Rape is punishable by life imprisonment and this is what the accused is trying to avoid. We believe what the child has said and described how the rape took place. We want justice for this child," the 12-year-old's lawyer, Aspasia Tarahopoulou, said in statements to a television station, noting that the minor is in a bad psychological state. With regard to the crime of pimping that is also charged against Ilias Michos, the prosecutor requested that this charge be turned into a facility for the minor to be extradited. Pimping as lawyers say to prove it requires consideration. That is, financial benefit something that does not seem to have occurred in this particular case.

On the contrary, the prosecutor, in addition to the offense of aggravated abuse of a minor who has not reached the age of 14, suggested the guilt of Mihos for the following offenses: Possession of pornographic material with a minor under 12 years of age but without coercion and speculation, facilitating the minor to be extradited and gun ownership. These are equally serious offenses which, in case the prosecution's proposal is accepted as it is by the court, then Ilias Michos will be faced with a multi-year prison term of more than 20 years.

However, the mother of the 12-year-old faces the same sentence if the court accepts the prosecutor's proposal for her. Specifically, for the girl's mother, the public prosecutor requested that she be declared guilty of the crimes:

-The distinguished case of pornography as he allegedly distributed material of minors to co-accused
-The distinguished case of pimping with the aggravating circumstance given that she herself is the person who has custody and care of the minor.
– Extortion (misdemeanor) against the wife of Ilias Michos.

During her sentence, the prosecutor allegedly mentioned that the mother was putting a lot of pressure on her minor daughter and was also emotionally blackmailing her so that she would be extradited! According to the prosecutor, the purpose of the 38-year-old woman was financial gain. In fact, according to the proposal, the 38-year-old allegedly forced the child to produce videos and photos with inappropriate content, which she then sent to potential "clients" of the girl. It should be noted that in the subpoena issued for the case, extensive reference is made to the mother's text messages to her daughter in which she urgently asks her to find money for her. However, the accused mother denies all the offenses and maintains that she is innocent, even having the support of the victim. "The prosecutor's proposal is provocative, it does not stand up to logic. The kid either you believe it or you don't. He has given so many statements, special child psychiatrists have come to check the child, the child psychiatrist who has been checking him for 2 years gave an opinion that the child is telling the truth about everything. Both for the mother and for the rape and now comes a prosecutor's proposal, out of nowhere and he rejects all the experts who examined the child, Mr. Apostolos Lytras, defense attorney for the accused mother, has mentioned in one of his statements.

Finally, with regard to the main accused in the case, the so-called "Michalis", the prosecutor accused him of serious criminal responsibility for the prostitution and abuse of the girl. According to the prosecutor, the specific defendant should be declared guilty of pimping at the expense of the minor, as he also exploited the child for his personal gain.

According to the indictment, the specific defendant encouraged the 12-year-old to engage in sexual intercourse for a fee with his alleged friends and promoted her to prostitution by "uploading" her nude photos on a specific website. At the same time, they promised big profits to the girl if she practices "luxury prostitution" and enters "the thick circles"!

Finally, with regard to the 23 defendants who allegedly had sexual relations with the 12-year-old girl from Colonos for a fee, the prosecutor requested that all, except one, be declared guilty of sexual acts with a minor for a fee who has reached the age of 12. prosecutor asked for immunity only on grounds of doubt for only one accused, of Pakistani origin, on grounds of doubt.
