The registration of companies interested in participating in the sponsorship plans to encourage the use of RES and E.E. in the lists of participating traders, according to the Management Committee of the Fund for Renewable Energy Sources (APE) and Energy Saving (E.E.), has begun.

In particular, a Commission announcement states that two different lists will be drawn up. The first is the list of Participating Traders – Photovoltaic, in which traders who undertake the implementation of investments for Categories A1, A2 and A3 of the Sponsorship Scheme are registered. The second concerns the list of Participating Traders – Thermal Insulation, in which traders who undertake the implementation of investments for categories B1 and B2 of the Grant Scheme are registered.

Registration in the above two lists is independent, notes the Fund's Management Committee, and each trader can register in one or both lists.

In order to register in the directories, interested businesses should fill out the participant trader pre-registration form electronically, in which they will state the contact details they wish to be published in the directories, as well as their staff/partners who will be given access to the system for submission purposes Investment Implementation Update of their clients, and to mail the duly completed and signed participating merchant declaration and merchant participation agreement, as provided for in the Sponsorship Scheme.

It is added that in order to avoid inconvenience and delay, that businesses, before sending the above, should carefully study the Sponsorship Scheme and make sure they understand its provisions and the obligations they will undertake as participating merchants. In addition, they should carefully study the merchant participation agreement they will be signing and make sure they understand the content of the agreement they are entering into. Finally, they are requested to ensure that they have completed all required fields of the Participating Merchant Declaration and Merchant Participation Agreement and have signed and initialed all required fields.

It is clarified that each company should submit a separate participating merchant declaration and participation agreement. Each legal entity is considered a separate business and should register separately, while caution is advised with subsidiaries/affiliates, which should register separately and declare different users who will be granted access to the system. Furthermore, it is noted that the submission of the above does not imply automatic registration in the directories. Enrollment in the directories will be completed and businesses will only be notified once it is confirmed that the enrollment requirements have been met.

The possibility of registration in the lists of participating merchants will be provided throughout the implementation of the Sponsorship Plan. Provided the necessary conditions are met, the Commission will register the trader in the list of participating traders within one month at the latest.
