The number of Vacancies in the 4th quarter of 2022 amounted to 7.821, according to a press release of the Cyprus Statistical Service.
The number of job vacancies decreased by 1.822 (-18,9%) compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year which was 9.643. In relation to the 3rd quarter of 2022, a decrease of 1.353 positions was observed (-14,7%).
The total vacancy rate in the 4th quarter of 2022 was 1,9%, while the previous quarter and the corresponding quarter of 2021 were 2,2% and 2,4% respectively.
The highest percentages of vacancies in the 4th quarter of 2022 are observed in the Sectors of Accommodation Services and Catering Services (3,0%), Water Supply, Wastewater Treatment, Waste Management and Sanitation Activities (2,9%) followed by the Sectors of Financial and Insurance Activities, Administrative and Support Activities and Education with the same percentage (2,5%).
