The all-new Jeep Compass unveiled to the public at the Geneva Motor Show is Jeep's new Premium Compact SUV that combines luxury, technology and a wealth of active and passive support systems with Jeep off-road capability.

All of the above coexist impressively in a vehicle with a unique and timeless design that exudes the Jeep feeling to a superlative degree.

The new Compass is an authentic Jeep instantly recognizable, which dynamically integrates all the design features of the iconic brand.

The trapezoidal openings in the domes intensify its dynamic character, the details of glossy black on the front lights, the Jeep grille, the windshield columns and the roof, emphasize its premium side, while the sloping roof gives the sporty tone. without reducing the space available to passengers.

The living room of the new Compass, is what we call in one word, premium. The quality materials, the ergonomics and the excellent fit, give a sense of luxury and a special daily driving experience.

The driver has in front of him an impressive instrument panel that incorporates a color LED screen up to 7 inches in which he can display at any time the information that interests him.

In the center of the luxury console, the characteristic trapezoidal frame, houses the up to 8,4 inch touch screen of the new generation U Connect infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for perfect cooperation with mobile phones.

Slightly lower, but always within breathing distance of the driver's fingers, are the four-wheel drive rotary switch, the air conditioning controls, the ports for connecting and charging portable devices and the electric parking brake button.

Versions - Engines - Transmission

The Compass will be available in Sport, Longtitude, Limited (the most complete in terms of equipment) and Trailhawk (the most capable off-road version, with 2.5 cm increased ground clearance)

The choice between, petrol and diesel engines from 1.4 up to 2 liters, 6-speed manual transmission or 9-speed automatic, four-wheel drive or two-wheel drive, offers 6 combinations of mechanical sets capable of meeting every movement need.

Active Drive - Jeep Selec-Terrain

The new Compass is equipped with two permanent all-wheel drive systems, Active Drive and Active Drive Low (with 20: 1 crawl ratio), which can at any time provide 100% of the available torque to the wheel that needs it. Both incorporate the Selec-Terrain traction management system that offers 5 different operating settings of the drive system. By selecting Auto, Snow, Sand, Mad or Rock (the latter only in the Trailhawk) the driver will be able to face any terrain and move comfortably in all weather conditions.

Compass all-wheel drive systems offer complete off-road safety as well as economy as they are equipped with a smart rear axle direct disconnection system that disengages all-wheel drive when not needed and resets it instantly when needed, regardless of speed and without driver interference.

Safety

For driver and passenger safety, Jeep designers have equipped the Compass with a high-strength steel cage of over 65% and more than 70 active and passive safety systems.

Upcoming collision alert, lane keeping system, blind spot alert and vertical off-road surveillance, parking assist camera, parallel and vertical parking assist system, active cruise control, and steering control system.

The new model aims to star in the Compact SUVs, the category that drivers worldwide consciously choose and which is expected to reach 7.5 million sales by 2020.
