The tourist profile of the free area of Famagusta, which is on a path of development and quality upgrade, is changing substantially. New construction projects such as the Sun City Spa Resort & Residences of the Giovani Group, whose foundation stone was laid, will be the milestone for a new era, effectively enriching the tourism product.
The Sun City Spa Resort & Residences of the Giovani Group, will be the new jewel in the area of free Famagusta and will be erected on the beach of Agia Thekla in the Municipality of Sotira, very close to the Marina of Ayia Napa.
The project is grand and its construction is expected to begin around the end of February 2017. Its completion will take about 2 years. The total cost of the investment will exceed € 50 million and will be completed with the participation of Chinese interests.
The project is one of the largest of its kind and the first that is a mixed development of a hotel unit with residential houses and apartments. Sun City Spa Resort & Residences includes a five-star hotel with more than 200 luxury apartments, a gym, spa, a further 55 private residences and a 24-hour front desk.
All hotel rooms will have balconies with sliding glass doors that provide access overlooking the sea. The rooms will be built with natural materials, will be modern and functional and with luxurious furniture and the latest technology equipment and entertainment system.
Sun City Spa Resort & Residences will include 44 self-catering apartments for long-term guests, which will have a kitchen and a bedroom and can take advantage of all the services provided by the hotel. There will also be 11 deluxe residences in front of the hotel with unobstructed sea views.
The project is the second largest private investment ever made by foreign investors in the Famagusta area, after the Ayia Napa Marina.
