Thousands protest in Berlin against Ankara operations in Afrin

Thousands rallied in central Berlin today to protest Ankara's military operations in the Kurdish enclave of Afrin in Syria.

The police spoke of a demonstration "in general without problems", but four policemen were attacked and slightly injured by participants. Authorities made three arrests.

The mobilization, organized by NGOs, Kurdish organizations and political parties under the slogan "All together against the Turkish attacks in Afrin", took place in the presence of strong police forces.

According to organizers, about 20.000 people participated. The police speaks of "several thousand" protesters.
