The "fiesta" set up by the Turkish delegation for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in London did not go well.
The initial cheers from his fans gathered outside the hotel where the Turkish President was staying were overshadowed by the disapproval of some people who had gathered on the opposite sidewalk and shouted slogans against him.
Their presence provoked the immediate mobilization of the police and his security men, while Erdogan avoided approaching his supporters and was driven directly to the car that would take him to Buckingham Palace for the reception given by Queen Elizabeth to NATO.
The video with the disapproval was posted earlier on social media by the journalist Dimitris Kottaridis.
"The departure-fiesta Erdogan from his hotel in London with applause and disapproval" wrote the well-known journalist.
