In a climate of deep emotion but also satisfaction, Ivanka Trump officially opened the Embassy of the United States of America in Jerusalem.

The ceremony started at 4 pm and was symbolic. At the same time, on May 14, 1948, US President Truman became the first foreign leader to officially recognize the state of Israel. Today, the Trump administration took the next step, satisfying another timeless desire of the Israelis. The recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The Prime Minister of Israel in his speech said:

"President Trump, recognizing history, you wrote history today. Today, the embassy of the most powerful state in the world opens in Jerusalem. "What a brilliant day this is," he said, full of excitement and satisfaction.

At the end of his speech he referred to peace, justice and truth.

"My friends, this is a wonderful day for Israel, this is a wonderful day for America, this is a wonderful day for our cooperation. It is a wonderful day for peace. Truth and peace are connected. Peace based on lies will be crushed on the stones of the Middle East. You can only build peace with truth. And the Truth is that Jerusalem will always be the capital of the Jews, the capital of the Jewish State. Truth, peace and justice. This is what we have and this is what we believe. With these inaugurations, let the truth be spread and let it help in a lasting peace between Israel and all our neighbors. "God bless the United States, God bless Jerusalem, the eternal, indivisible capital of Israel."

The ceremony was attended by the country's political, military and religious leadership, while the US government was represented by Donald Trump's adviser and daughter Ivanka, the second-in-command of the State Department. The event was presented by the US Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, who praised the American President for his determination. He also described Israel as the most trusted US ally in the Middle East.

"At last we have a leader who has promised and kept his promise," said Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, thanking Trump for his courage and determination.

Senior adviser to the US President Jared Kushner said that five months after the announcement of Trump's decision, "today it becomes a practice", adding that Israel as a sovereign state has the right to choose its capital. It is a move he said that further strengthens the ties between the two countries. "The United States is on Israel's side because it is the right thing to do," he said. Kushner also referred to the two countries' conspiracy to get out of the "dangerous" as he described it as an agreement on Iran's nuclear program.

In the frame, the Israeli Prime Minister, with a wide smile and a red tie, seemed to enjoy every moment of the ceremony.
