Slovakia withdrew from Turkish military exercises due to the involvement of the occupiers.
According to a statement issued by the Greek Foreign Ministry, Mr. Dendias had a brief meeting today with his Slovak counterpart on the sidelines of the informal meeting of the European Union (EU) Foreign Ministers (Gymnich) held in Lisbon.
In this context, the Slovak Minister informed that Slovakia withdrew its participation from the Turkish military exercise "Anadolu Ankasi 2021", which takes place between 24 May and 4 June, due to the participation of the occupiers, emphasizing his country's commitment to international law and European solidarity.
"Nikos Dendias expressed his satisfaction and thanked his Slovak counterpart for his quick reaction. It is noted that relevant steps had been taken, in coordination with the Cypriot side, towards Slovakia ", concludes the announcement of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
