Turkey wants the UN General Assembly to approve a proposal for Jerusalem, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu said today as concerns grew over the death of Palestinians in Gaza by Israeli forces.
In an interview with state-run TRT Haber, Tsavousoglu also said that an independent commission should prepare a report on the violence in Gaza and that Israel should face the law.
Israeli troops shot and killed dozens of Palestinian protesters on the border with Gaza on Monday, the day the United States opened its embassy in Israel in Jerusalem.
