A magnitude 6,4 earthquake shook the Pacific Ocean, 74 km east of the Logalti Islands in New Caledonia, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said today.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said in a statement that no catastrophic tsunami was expected in the Pacific and no tsunami alert was issued in Hawaii.
