Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched a full-scale attack on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with references to Cyprus and the Turkish invasion.

On his personal twitter account, the Israeli Prime Minister continued the public controversy that erupted over the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem and the violent incidents between Israelis and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Specifically he wrote that:

"Someone who is sending thousands of Turkish troops to defend the occupation of Northern Cyprus and invade Syria will not prevent us from defending ourselves against a possible Hamas invasion. "A man whose hands have the blood of countless Kurdish citizens in Turkey and Syria is the last one who can declare us martial arts."

The beginning was made by Erdogan who condemned the Israeli attack on the Palestinian protesters, accusing them of "genocide". The Israeli Prime Minister, for his part, said that he suggested to the Turkish President, who is well acquainted with terrorism, not to talk about ethics.
