Moscow has welcomed Ankara's strong stance on the purchase of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile defense system from Russia, despite strong US pressure, President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peshkov said today.
Last month, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu said the deal to buy Russian S-400s had been completed.
Earlier this month, the United States banned the delivery of equipment related to US 5th generation F-35 fighter jets to Turkey.
