Israeli authorities have arrested three Turkish tourists in Jerusalem following an incident involving Muslim pilgrims at a controversial shrine, according to a police spokesman.
The spokesman did not elaborate on the circumstances under which the arrests took place, at a time when Israel is facing Palestinian protests against US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as its capital. Israel (December 6).
The Turkish consulate in Jerusalem did not immediately comment on the developments.
