The situation is under control
Two suspicious packages have been sent to former US presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, according to US intelligence. In the last minutes, according to information broadcast by CNN and rebroadcast by other media, the authorities blocked a third suspicious package intended for the White House. A White House spokesman, however, denied that a suspicious package was found targeting the presidential residence. After the control of the competent services, the police announced that the situation has been brought under control.

Just before 5.30 p.m. (Greek time) it became known that the CNN offices at the Time Warner Center in New York were evacuated, as a fourth suspicious package was identified. New York police, however, are unable to say whether the suspicious package found on the high-rise skyscraper housing CNN studios is similar to other parcels sent to former President Obama and the Clinton couple. Police only confirmed that he was called to the scene after information that spoke of a "suspicious package".
CNN reported that the suspicious parcel sent to its offices in New York was addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan.

As it became known from the secret services, none of the "recipients" of the packages were in danger, as they were identified in time during the routine checks carried out upon receipt of the mail.
According to the US Secret Service, these parcels were addressed to "persons protected" by the service. One was sent to Clinton's home in Westchester County, New York, and was located Tuesday, while the other, addressed to Obama, was found early this morning.
The suspicious package, which was sent to the Clinton home in Chappaqua, Westchester, New York, and which probably contained an explosive device, was found by an official, who checks the correspondence of the former presidential couple.
Respectively, the suspicious package addressed to Barack Obama was received by the secret service personnel for investigation.
Earlier, the FBI said in a statement on Twitter that it had been informed of a suspicious package near the former presidential couple's home and that federal authorities were investigating the case, stressing that while the investigation was ongoing they could not comment further.

The New York Times reports that the device found near the home of former President Bill Clinton and his wife on the outskirts of New York is similar to the one that was placed in a mailbox outside the home of George Soros in the beginning. week.
