The list of contenders for the title of "Man of the Year" was announced by Time magazine, with the presidents of the USA and Russia, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, being on it for another year.

Time magazine notes that the Russian leader won the presidential election last March, while the Trump administration is pursuing an ambiguous policy and is facing serious difficulties due to the investigation related to the alleged Russian interference in the US elections.

The list also includes the assassinated Saudi journalist Jamal Kassogi, who, as noted, "provoked protests from the international community and drew attention to the investigation of the Saudi regime."

Also on the list is the wife of Prince Harry Megan Markle, who is attracting the attention of millions of people around the world, the American director Ryan Kugler, creator of the movie Black Panther (2018), and the American Christine Blaise Forn who had accused Brett Cavanaugh of sexual harassment, which did not stop him from becoming a member of the US Supreme Court.
