One person has died from a cable car crash in a mountainous region in northern Czech Republic, and local media say many people have been injured.
The cable car that reaches 1.000 meters on Mount Jested uses two cabins, which are managed by an employee.
"A cabin fell while the cable car was coming down. "Only one person was inside, who unfortunately succumbed to his injuries," spokesman Mikhail Georgiev told Czech Television.
Dnes jsme kolem 13.30 přijali zprávu o pádu jedné kabiny na lanové dráze Ještěd v Liberci. Druhá kabin, která ji vyvažovala, stále visí na laně a jednotky IZS vyprošťují její posádku, kterou tvoří 14 lidí. Each room has a built-in cabin. #police lb
