In an extraordinary and historic session as it was called, it was decided that Mugabe would be replaced in the leadership of the ruling party by Emerson Mangagua, the former vice president of the ousted country.
He is also called upon to resign from the presidency by Monday at noon or to be tried.

Grace's wife was expelled from the party, while she was accused of exploiting 93-year-old Mugabe.
A large demonstration was held in the capital Arare on Saturday against President Mugabe and in favor of the armed forces.
Citizens hugged soldiers and held placards with slogans against Mugabe Grace's wife, whom they call Gucci Grace because they consider her a waste.
Mugabe, 93, ousted Vice President Emerson Mangagua, a close ally and confidant, on November 6, although it appeared he would succeed him in leading the party and the country to promote Grace, his wife, according to analysts. This prompted the army to intervene on 15 November.
