With the aim of protecting and safeguarding Public Health and after the State Authorities observed non-compliance and proper observance of the provisions of the Decrees and Protocols on catering facilities, the Ministry of Health revised the protocol concerning the operation of the Protocols. .

Specifically, the updated Protocol differentiates the following from the maximum number of people that can be served in restaurants:

Although the distance measurement is still valid 3 sq.m. for interiors and 2 sq.m. for outdoor areas per person, regardless of the square footage of each property, the maximum number of people that can be served cannot exceed 75 people indoors and 150 people outdoors. For example, if a property has 400 sq.m. outdoors and based on the measure for keeping a distance of 2 sq.m. per person, it could serve up to 200 people, with the new decision, the number of customers can not exceed 150. If a property has 300 sq.m. indoors and based on the measure for keeping a distance of 3 sq.m. per person, it could serve up to 100 people, with the new decision, the number of people can not exceed 75.

The above restriction applies only to the following categories of dining areas provided for in the Decree of the Minister of Health, dated 5 June 2020:

  • Restaurants
  • Hotels and tourist accommodation
  • Taverns
  • Cafes
  • Pizzerias
  • Beers, snack bars and bars
  • Cafes
  • Canteens and / or dining areas for schools, sports clubs, cultural groups, clubs, clubs, etc.

The measure for a maximum of 10 people per table is still valid.

The service of the public is done exclusively in table seats. If bars operate in the above companies, the direct service of the citizens to them is prohibited and they are used only for the preparation of food and drinks by the staff of the estate.

It is clarified that the above regulation will be valid until June 31, 2020, when it will be re-evaluated on the basis of epidemiological data as they will have been formed at the given time.
