The Ministry of Health informs through its announcement that a Chinese citizen who lives permanently in Cyprus and had visited China in the previous days presented symptoms similar to that of the coronavirus.
The protocols determined by the Medical Services and Public Health Services of the Ministry of Health and the other competent Services were activated and the patient was transported to the General Hospital of Nicosia, where after the relevant examinations the possibility of Influenza A was ruled out.
In order to further investigate the incident in the coming days, the patient will be kept for treatment. It is emphasized that this is a suspicious incident and not confirmed.
The Ministry of Health will keep the citizens informed of any developments.
