Organized parents are concerned about the possible change of the date of return of high school students, from March 16 to the 22nd of the month.

In a statement, they state that they strongly disagree with the extension of the children's stay in their homes.

Such is the announcement

With particular concern and indignation we have been informed by the media of a possible change in the date of return of the students of the Gymnasiums, from 16.3 as already announced, to 22.3.

We declare that we strongly disagree with the further extension of the children's stay in their homes and wish them their return on March 16. The problems that children face after many months of incarceration are not only educational, but also psychological, emotional and social. Further confinement will have very negative consequences that will last for years.

With the mandatory conduct of rapid tests by all before their entry into schools, we do not understand the reason for further extension of the return of high school children.

As a Confederation, we have shown patience and understanding on many issues in order to ensure the return of children to school and lifelong learning. However, if what is circulating in the media is correct, we inform everyone interested that it will not be accepted and we will react.

We appreciate the work of the Scientific Team for ensuring the physical health of our children, but we invite them to be equally interested in the psychological and emotional health of children.

We want to believe that the PTA and the Council of Ministers will take the right decisions in tomorrow's meeting and will allow the completion of the school year and the students of the High School cycle, with physical presence, starting from Tuesday 16 March 2021, of course observing all health meters, within the school units.
