As of today, the Primary Schools of the province of Limassol and the High Schools of Cyprus are reopening with the physical presence of the students, by presenting a negative test for rapid antigen detection, based on the decisions taken on March 31 by the Council of Ministers.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth has called on the parents / guardians of high school students to ensure that children undergo rapid antigen testing either free of charge at sampling points operating in all provinces or in an approved private clinical laboratory, at their own expense.
Sampling for minors will be done nasally. From Monday, April 5, the control program with mobile sampling units will be extended to the Gymnasiums for the examination of students / staff and staff on a weekly basis.
In addition, as announced after consultation between representatives of the Ministries of Education and Health and the Scientific Advisory Committee with the organized bodies, a program will be drawn up in the near future to conduct a nasal test for rapid antigen detection in primary school students of the second cycle. (4th, 5th and 6th grade).
