Vaccination of citizens who are not registered or beneficiaries of GESS begins

In order to protect a larger percentage of the population against it COVID-19 and to limit the spread and transmission of the virus to the community, the Ministry of Health decided to facilitate the vaccination of citizens who are not registered or beneficiaries of GESS through the free vaccination centers (walk-in).

Vaccination of citizens who are not registered in the software of GESS will start on Friday, August 6, and every Friday from 8 am to 2 pm, in the following points:

Larnaca Port D

The above centers will replace the ones that operate today and will cover the needs of the people within GESS.

In the case of the Provinces of Paphos and Famagusta, the unregistered or beneficiaries of GESS will be able to be vaccinated in the already existing free centers for people within GESS, operating in the General Hospitals of the two Provinces, on a daily basis (Monday to Friday).

For their vaccination, the citizens who are not registered or beneficiaries of GESS should necessarily provide the following:

  1. Identification document (identity card, passport, etc.),
  2. Alien Registration Card or proof of relevant registration application (for cases involving a foreigner), and
  3. Citizen Registration Application Form who are not registered in the GESS at the Vaccination Portal for COVID-19. The form should be fully completed so that vaccination is possible.

Possibility of vaccination in these centers will have minors (12-17 years) who meet the above, provided that they have additionally provided all the necessary supporting documents and followed the existing procedure for the vaccination of minors. It is noted that the order of priority is observed in the free attendance centers.

The email address covidvac@moh.gov.cy, through which the requests of the non-registered or beneficiaries of GESSY were managed, is abolished and the interested parties will be served in the centers of free attendance as mentioned above.

In addition, the Ministry of Health continues through mobile units, vaccinations in structures such as Central Prisons, immigrant reception centers, etc., depending on the needs, as well as in industrial areas and other organizations (eg academic institutions), in consultation with the competent bodies.
