Members of YKAN (Nicosia Ladder) stopped yesterday afternoon for a check at the roadblock of Agios Dometios in Nicosia, a car driven by a 53-year-old man.
During the ensuing search, a quantity of cannabis weighing approximately 290 grams, a revolver and 14 cartridges of a 9mm diameter firearm were found inside the vehicle.
The 53-year-old was arrested for spontaneous offenses and was taken to the offices of YKAN where, during interrogation, he made some allegations which are being investigated. He was then taken into custody and this morning he will be brought before the District Court of Nicosia.
