Snowfall occurred in the early hours of Friday on the highest peaks of Troodos.
The Kitasweather page, in a post just before two in the morning, wrote: "It has been snowing for a while now on the highest peaks of the Jubilee Hotel Troodos."

According to the Meteorological Department, today, periods of sunshine will alternate with increased cloudiness, which is expected to give isolated rains or thunderstorms. In the highest peaks of Troodos or locally in the higher mountains it is possible to have a temporary snowfall. The winds will blow mainly southwest to west, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort but on the coast moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little turbulent, on the east coast and up to turbulent, on the other coasts to become in the afternoon a little turbulent to turbulent, on the east coast and turbulent, on the other coasts.
