The weather in detail
Relatively low pressure affects the area. Today the weather will be temporarily cloudy with local rains from time to time as well as isolated thunderstorms initially on the coast and later inland.
Snowfall is expected locally in the higher mountains. The winds will initially blow southeast to southwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and in the afternoon southwest to west, of the same intensity.
The sea will be a little turbulent. The temperature will rise to around 15 degrees inland and on the coast and around 6 degrees in the higher mountains. Tonight the weather will be partly cloudy. The winds will blow mainly northwest, weak, 3 Beaufort and the sea will be a little turbulent.
The temperature will drop around 4 degrees inland, around 8 on the coast and around zero in the higher mountains, where locally frost will form.
On Tuesday the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy with a chance of isolated light rain or light snowfall, locally in the higher mountains. Late at night, local rains or thunderstorms are expected, mainly in the western half of the island and in the south.
On Wednesday the weather will be partly cloudy and temporarily cloudy with local rains, mainly in the southern half of the island, as well as temporary snowfall on the highest peaks of Troodos.
On Thursday, local rains are expected from time to time, isolated thunderstorms, as well as snowfall on the highest peaks of Troodos. The temperature will rise slightly during the three days to fluctuate close to the average climatic values.
The height of the snow in Troodos Square, at the time of issuance of the bulletin, was 78 cm.
