The situation in public hospitals is manageable. This was stated in the Breakfast Itinerary by the press representative of OKYPY, Charalambos Charilaou.

However, Mr. Charilaou expressed concern about the number of patients who are treated in conditions of increased care, since, as he explained, some of them will need to be treated in the next few days in intensive care units.

However, according to the plan of the Organization, there is a possibility for hospitalization of up to 300 people in coronavirus wards and another 65 beds in intensive care units.

As of January 3, the state hospitals are being strengthened with 62 new nurses, while six more intensivists from Greece have been hired.
