We remember him every January on days like this. But we carry it every day.
Those who knew him, those who lived him, those who worked with him. My colleague Michalis Papadopoulos wrote: "Those who knew Andis and mingled with his meek and wonderfully weighed greatness are obliged, today, to the generosity of this unbridled memory, which has the privilege to hold, already, in the future, what is indelible from the passage of an unforgettable, charismatic presence: In the case of Andis, not just moments, memories and impressions, but the stigma of a full-fledged humanity, a complete and whole being in its entirety, whose mere memory gives strength and pulse to every gesture addressed to the future ".
This is the stigma we carry, as a debt to his efforts and visions. It is a deposit of faith in collectivity and not in individualism, "a reinvention of the Common and the truth of communicating with others, the position, in work, of a collectivity that does not share, but shares in progress", copying Michalis Papadopoulos again.
Twelve years after his demise, the debt that inspired us remains: Vanguard and Truth. And we walk the path of his vision, with the supplies he left us as a legacy and command: Creation, creation, adorn the world!
Andis' "exit" was a blow to "Zeus", but also to society. That is why our spending continues more mournfully twelve years later, as the loss is still felt and the complaint bitter. Not only for the life he lost (a tragic point in itself on every level), but also for the journey that he lost in his birth: , rectus and chalcedony pioneer of the Media sector. We are copying from last year's tribute of the journalist and poet Michalis Papadopoulos, his dedication to Andis Hatzikostis. In addition to the brilliant depiction of the quality characteristics of the deceased, Michalis Papadopoulos manages to summarize the character and stigma of Andis: "[Man becomes] Invisible, but, like Andis, constantly palpable in love the full visibility…".

But how, and what, to dedicate to someone whose whole life has been an innumerable dedication? Perhaps, it expresses an inward intention to extend, as an existence, to a virtue that transcends you, to become the small gift that unfolds, like an infant luminous reflection, in the shadow of a supreme generosity: A generosity that shrinks in its entirety invites us to follow it, mentally, as the awkward gesture that instituted it in the world.
Trying now, with the same mental immersion, to align your name with what was written and said about you, I feel that your passage between the things that cost around and between us a world, is like the passage of that deep speaking silence that costs around the words the thin, invisible membrane of a meaning.
To dedicate, therefore, to the one who was dedicated, like an imperceptible aura of indefatigable generosity, whole to others, is like calling the word of remembrance to become one with the work, the vortex of life in and beyond the gallop of the insignificant moments of.
Eleven years, then, since the departure of such a man, for whom most of his offer was an undeniable truth, we know that no matter how much time passes, there is not, nor will there ever be, a last word. Andis Chatzikostis
Andis Hatzikostis was a man with great culture and education, love for poetry and an appeal to innovation. He spoke three foreign languages (English, French and German). Holder of degrees in Economics and Political Science (from the University of Southampton in England, where he graduated with honors), worked as a financial analyst at the European Commission's Directorate-General in Brussels (1992-1993). He also served as project manager at Kienbaum Consultants International Kienbaum in Düsseldorf, Germany (1992-1993). Coming to Cyprus, he took over as marketing director of the DIAS publishing house and SIGMA TV (1994-1997). In addition, he was a founding and managing director at IMH Creative Solutions Consulting (1996-2010) and director of new business development (1997-1999), to take over the management of the DIAS group during the period 1999-2002 and then to become its managing director. SIGMA TV and the DIAS publishing house. In addition, he participated in boards of public companies in Cyprus, as well as abroad. He was also a member of the European Publishers Association and a board member and ambassador for the Emmy International Television Awards.
He was, perhaps, the first to realize the power of the new media and the possibilities of the internet for information, investing, with a vision, in what the future promised. Unfortunately, his untimely death left unfinished the most courageous and innovative plans he was preparing. He was, however, the first to lay the foundation for everything that makes up our media landscape today, despite the crisis and its devastating effects.
Andis Chatzikostis. Business passion, thirst for avant-garde, need for action and unadulterated patriotism, biological years 41. Everlasting in the hearts of his family, friends, appraisers of work and vision (and so many others who live in the consequences of his action, without –Many– to know it).
