Famagusta: "Bells" of 2.000 euros in a bakery and kiosk

In the Province of Famagusta, 3 premises and 6 citizens were reported after 395 inspections

The Police proceeded to 23 complaints of citizens and 8 premises in the context of the controls of the implementation of the measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

As a representative of the communication department of the Police stated to KYPE, during the last 24 hours that ended at 06:00 on Monday, the Force carried out a total of 2.219 checks throughout free Cyprus.

At Nicosia 568 inspections were carried out with 2 complaints of premises, in Limassol 146 inspections were carried out with 2 complaints of premises and 5 citizens, in Larnaca 1 estate and 2 citizens were reported after 612 inspections, in Paphos 4 citizens were reported after 139 checks, in Famagusta 3 premises and 6 citizens were reported after 395 inspections, while in its area Morphou 178 inspections were carried out without any complaints.

The Traffic Departments made 172 complaints and the Port and Maritime Police 3 without complaints.

Also in the context of controls at airports, the Police proceeded to 5 complaints of persons at the airport Paphos and 1 person at Larnaca airport.

Fines of € 8.250 on premises

At Nicosia the two property complaints concern a kiosk and a restaurant where employees without safe pass were located and fines of € 500 were imposed on each.

At Limassol the two complaints concerned a bakery where an employee without a safe pass was found for whom a fine of € 750 was imposed and a kiosk employee without a mask for whom a fine of € 500 was imposed.

At Larnaca one complaint concerns an employee at an internet cafe without a safe pass for which a fine of € 4.000 was imposed.

End in the province Famagusta the three complaints concern a bakery and a kiosk, employees of which were identified without a safe pass for which extrajudicial € 500 was issued for each and a kiosk without sufficient marking, an offense for which an extrajudicial € 1.000 was issued.
