On the streets, once again, students will be today protesting against the institution of four-month exams.

According to an announcement by PSEM, the mobilization will start at 10:30 in the morning with a gathering in the parking lot of the Stephanis store on Athalassa Avenue and will follow to the Presidential Palace.

"As PSEM, we will never stop emphasizing the need to change our educational system and especially the way students are evaluated. "The school is the place where we build the foundation to become useful people for society and not specialized, people without critical thinking", it is noted in the announcement, where it is clarified that there is no other option.

"In our meeting with the Minister of Education on December 20, it became clear that the ministry is not only unwilling to discuss the abolition of examinations every four months, but also does not seem to make any changes. Unfortunately, our calls for the abolition of examinations every four months and the formation of a student assessment system that will be more based on alternative assessment methods, will require a significant reduction in material, will eliminate competition between students and schools and will provide comprehensive education and development. of critical thinking and not just specialization, they are not listened to ", says PSEM.
