A murder took place around 21.30 on Sunday night in the center of Nicosia, after a clash took place between foreigners.

According to information from ANT1, under hitherto unclear circumstances, on Sunday night, a clash broke out between foreigners in the center of Nicosia, with one of them being fatally wounded by a knife.

He is a 21-year-old man from India, while 2 other foreigners seem to have been injured in the clash.

The man from India, according to the same information, received the deadly knife elsewhere and was found dead by the authorities elsewhere. Police sources report to ANT1 that in the body of the unfortunate Indian there are 2 to 3 wounds from sharp objects, while a 34-year-old is fighting to stay alive in the General Hospital of Nicosia and a 25-year-old is also being treated in the Hospital of the capital.

Yesterday, the Assistant Chief of Police Operations, Dimitris Dimitriou, rushed to the spot to coordinate the situation, while what happened took place seems to have been recorded by closed surveillance circuits located in the area.

The closed circuits were brought before the authorities and it was found that the four persons (one dead and two injured) as they were at the point below in the photo, were attacked by about 10 other foreigners, who were in possession of knives and bats and then it became fatal.

At the same time, authorities launched a manhunt to locate the perpetrators, securing three arrest warrants, following testimony secured against them, and arrested one of the three.

Specifically, according to information from ANT1, the 27-year-old was found hiding in a farm in Meniko, after evaluating information provided by the authorities, and was arrested.

The scene has been cordoned off by a police force and investigations are underway at the scene.
