The weather phenomena and the continuous snowfalls of the last weeks, offer enchanting images from a winter, snowy and white landscape in Troodos. Despite the beauty of nature, the human factor seems to destroy the beautiful landscape, creating unacceptable and embarrassing images.
Crowds of people rush every day to enjoy this winter landscape, but, as everything shows, leaving does not leave it as it found it. Thousands of rubbish are now dumped in every corner of the Troodos.
During her visit to Troodos, the Environment Commissioner, Mrs. Klelia Vassiliou, recorded on video the embarrassing images from the dozens of garbage left by the visitors in Troodos.
Coffee on the street, plastic bags, abandoned toys, silver paper, paper, plastic bottles… even coals, grills and cucumber leaves were found in various parts of the area by Mrs. Vassilios.
