The indications for the course of the pandemic in Cyprus after the low number of cases recorded in the last few days are positive.
Leontios Kostrikis, Academic Professor of Molecular Biology at the Department of Biological Sciences of the University of Cyprus and a Full Member of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts, said it was only a matter of time before the virus disappeared from Cyprus.
Speaking on Radio Politis 107.6, he said that the responsible behavior of the citizens made Cyprus an international example.
Regarding the possibility of a new wave during the winter, Dr. Kostrikis stated that it is scientifically incomprehensible. "It is possible that there will be resurgence in some population groups that have not been tested, but will be manageable."
