Cyprus: Who is allowed to enter - Clarifying Directive on the measures of the PD

Following the sermon of the President of the Republic, the following may enter Cyprus from 15 March 2020 for a period of 15 days:

(a) Cypriot citizens,

(b) legally resident in the Republic of Cyprus,

(c) European nationals or third-country nationals working in the Republic;

(d) nationals of countries engaged in mandated service / mission under bilateral or international conventions;

(e) individual cases of European nationals or third-country nationals for unavoidable professional obligations, provided that a relevant authorization is obtained from the relevant Ministry;

(f) European nationals or third-country nationals attending educational institutions in the Republic of Cyprus.

In the event that citizens falling into the above categories travel to Cyprus from the Hubei Province of China, Italy, Iran and the Republic of Korea, they will remain under medical supervision for a period of 14 days.

In all other cases, they will remain in self-restraint and self-monitoring for a period of 14 days and will contact the competent authorities of the Republic if they show symptoms.

Citizens of the above categories who wish to leave Cyprus before the expiration of 14 days, will be able to do so, provided that they will not show symptoms.

Citizens who have arrived before the Decree enters into force (March 15, 2020), and have not completed 14 days of arrival, are encouraged to remain in self-restraint and self-monitoring until the 14-day period has passed.
